Wright, et al. v. Metro Ambulance Services, Inc.

VERDICT

Trial
06/11/24 – 06/13/24

Summary

Plaintiff Joray Wright sues Metro Ambulance Services for the death of Vanessa Banks. After being pushed out of an apartment window by her boyfriend, an ambulance arrived for the alive and responsive Banks. While on the way to the hospital, she suffered a fatal heart attack.

Representatives for the plaintiff claim the parametric for Metro Ambulance Services, Michael Kern, failed to properly check blood oxygen levels and failed to monitor Banks after administering Fentanyl.

The defense asserts that Kern provided proper treatment, as he reported Banks’ initial blood oxygen levels and was monitoring her breathing as he spoke to her. Representatives for Metro Ambulance Services assert that the trauma from the fall was the cause of Banks’ heart attack.

Outcome

Verdict for defendant.
